Wingsports skills clinics. Summer is nearly upon us, forward those of us who had a long winter layoff. It is time to brush up our skills or be in danger of looking like an idiot on launch or worse! If you are a Low airtime pilot, with or without your own equipment, our coastal skills clinic may be just the thing to make you feel positive about the coming summer activities! Coastal skills clinic.2-3days: in this clinic we cover: l coastal reverse launches suitable for windy conditions and confined spaces , providing alternative methods for alternative situations. lProper equipment set up, we will inspect and coordinate all participant's equipment including Speed-system ,harness setup, and reserve ergonomics. This is a good time to ask all those questions about your equipment! llEssential altitude management skills, such as the use of Big ears, B-line stalls and the use of the Speed system, will be extensively briefed on and put into practice under controlled conditions.Gone are the anxieties about being blown over the back! lWeather briefings will give you more of an insight as to what conditions might occur. Considering the forecast, the development of the day, and possible changes that can be seen. All those things that might avoid unnecessary travelling or on-site anxieties! lTop landing instruction is available to those pilots
who have flown to
the appropriate amount of time for this to be a safe skill to learn.
For those pilots approaching intermediate level, this is an essential skill
to extend your flying enjoyment. you will be briefed on all the facets
of top landing and instructed by radio for the practical component. lIntermediate license clinic:2-3days: This clinic is aimed at getting novice pilots with the appropriate flying time through to the intermediate level , including extensive in briefing , an examination. The practical component will cover all tasks and skills necessary for intermediate level , including all those mentioned in the coastal skills clinic. included in this course briefings and practical application off extended coastal cross-country flights! Where appropriate this course will culminate in the intermediate examination and passing of the students to this level. lRequirements for the courses: llsuitable sets of flying equipment, however , equipment can be hired from Wingsports. lminimal license requirements : current financial restricted HGFA license. lDecent weather , of course! The States can be mollified , where weather does not allow the fund to start. Mid week courses are also available upon request, weather permitting. lprovided for the course by Wingsports : lexpert tuition by senior level two Chief flying instructor, Hans van Santen. lcommunications equipment, transportation, all retrieves, briefings and briefing materials.and hopefully some fun and enjoyment! lAs always , accommodation is available at Wingsports facility at $20 per night.
